By most accounts, Recluse, Wyoming was not a particularly eventful place in 1919. But this album imagines the inner lives of real people and the emotional undertones of real occurrences as documented in that year’s printing of The Gillette News. Recluse, WY (1919) reflects the space and pace of the time and region by utilizing a spare and dignified trio of piano, upright bass, and drums.
